Bodacious Bridal Weekend

This weekend was the bridal shower/bachelorette party for my college roommie, Dee! My good friend Lindsay planned the whole weekend and it was AWESOME! A great time with fun people and tons of goofing off... Can't wait for her wedding on Sept 20!

First, the Bridal Shower on Saturday afternoon...

The hostess with the mostest, Lindsay!!
Awesome food, drinks, and decorations!

(Monica, Lindsay, Amanda & Dee)
During the shower we played a game where Lindsay read Dee questions that Paul had answered earlier and Dee had to guess what he said. For every question wrong, she had to chew another piece of gum. Unfortunately for Dee, but causing lots of laughter for us, Paul really got creative with his answers!

Example 1 of his creative responses...
"What's the farthest distance Paul has ever run"

And a less-PG answer...
"How many girlfriends did Paul have before you?"

And then it was present time!!!!!
Dee scored lots of fun goodies!

Another fun touch by hostess Lindsay- when guests arrived, they were given a tumbler filled with candy, a crazy straw, and a blank bookmark. We were to write our wishes and words of wisdom on the bookmark and drop it in a basket. At the end of the shower, Lindsay had all the bookmarks attached to a piece of netting to use as a veil for Dee to wear at her rehearsal- So cute!!!

Here's Dee modeling her lovely veil!
To cap off the shower, there was a pinata, however we couldn't get the pinata hung from a tree, so we just sent Dee loose with the bat to crack it open... but it was so packed with candy, it wouldn't budge!

Here's Dee breakin' bad on that pinata

Inside the pinata was plastic bling for Dee to wear all night!
Lovely Longwood Ladies!

Part Two - Bachelorette Time!

We went to dinner at the Strawberry Street Cafe, which was real cute, and had a bathtub salad bar (yes, a salad bar set up in a bathtub- so cool!)

Dee and her mom post-dinner!

After dinner, Dee preferred not to do the whole club-hopping/stripper thing... So we headed to the Omni Hotel where we rented a suite for a good old-fashioned slumber party! We gossiped about guys and other bachelorette topics, gave Dee her "naughty" presents, and drank up!

Girl's night!! Let's highlight Dee's hair!

Lauren & Lindsay manned the makeshift bar making delicious "Wet Spot" cocktails!

No Bachelorette Party is complete without penis straws!!!

The next morning... heading down the elevator!

The tired caravan heading back to the cars...

So long Omni Richmond!

Less than 6 weeks til the big day for Dee & Paul!!
