Valentine's Lunch

On Valentine's Day this year D and I met up with my dad and fam for lunch at Cracker Barrel.  Afterwards, we went apartment hunting and ended up finding a new place we like- March 6 we move in!  We are super excited as we have been having problems with our current upstairs neighbor.  Plus in our new place we will have our own washer/dryer/dishwasher and patio/deck.  AND we get to have pets there so we can finally get the dog we've been dying for!  That night, we met up with some friends to see a comedien at the Funny Bone and then grabbed some dinner at Fire Ninja (delish!).  An excellent VDay!!

Mom's Bellydance

Mom had a mardi gras belly dance show today and I went and used my new camera to take some pictures.  A few came out pretty good if I do say so myself!  And of course, my momma looked beautiful too as she performed a fusion piece combining belly dance with cancan and later a group piece (unfortunantely I was at an angle so one of the women kept gettng cut off)!

One of my best friends, Erin, lives down in Mobile, Alabama, and this year she sent me a fantastic mardi gras care package complete with beads, cups, doubloons, and a KING CAKE! so fun!!!  Erin's stepdad is part of the Mobile Mysics and this year her whole family went to their Mardi Gras Ball (how cool!!) where she got lots of goodies to send my way.

Cool coincidence: the Mobile Mystics were founded in 1993- same year that Erin and I met in California and became best friends!

damien's birthday!

D turned 30 today!  To celebrate I got him gifts he can expect now that he's an old man... socks, tshirts, underwear... but i also took him out to dinner at our fave restaurant, the melting pot :)  it was delish and he's a super full, happy man now :)
